Here is a way to place the image from google drive on your web page or a blog

It is titled: Host webpages with Drive

satya - 1/8/2015, 3:32:01 PM

The structure of the url on the hosted page should be

http://www.googledrive.com/host/[doc id]

satya - 1/8/2015, 3:33:19 PM

The id can be found in the share URL

satya - 4/27/2017, 5:01:01 PM

The way I did this correctly as of now (2017) is

Visit Google drive on web
Make sure the folder is public
Right click on the file
Get the share link
Replace /open with /uc in the URL
Replace https with http (I was told)

satya - 4/27/2017, 5:02:33 PM

Format of the URL as of 2017

http://drive.google.com/uc?id=[file-id]
